Marketing Yourself 101

                   Happy Monday !

I am so excited to finally received my business cards. It was crucial for me to get them before January 3rd because currently I am in New York City for a business and fashion trip, which you will be in a blog post last this week.

I realized that having business cards are a great marketing strategy for my blog. There were times when I would attend different events and tell people about my blog and but did have any way for them to reach it. Because of that I did not think people took me seriously.

After sometime a hiatus from my blog due to my overwhelming school load, I took some much need time to design my own business cards. Many people have heard of Vistaprint, which is a great website where you can choose from a variety of fonts, colors, and even upload your own design to a business card custom made for you by you.

Vistaprint always have a great promo going on where you can get 100-250 business cards from a range of $7.99- $10. Shipping is super easy and quick and you will be well on your way to marketing yourself for your brand or business!

 | Trench Coat: H&M | Scarf: H&M

Have you ever found yourself thinking about the past and can't help but smile? Knowing that you left  that lasting imprint on someone's life and heart. Well for me, my life is definitely giving me that peace and confident within myself to know that I was doing things right with reassure me that anyone that I cross paths with whether it's friends, family, ex boyfriends, and enemies I will forever be your lady that you.. (love or hate).

Now, we can all say that red, black, and white will forever be a classic color combo. Red is just that color that can provoke different emotions from love, romance, hate, fire, and much more. Here I wanted to express the emotion of peace. Yes, I know what you are thinking peace? How can a color such as red provoke peace? Well in this little number I imaged myself as a 1950s girlfriend. Strong, empowered, sweet but gentle. The red dress, which is another item in my wardrobe that I am reworking, represents that strong and empowered girlfriend who feel like she can conquer anything that comes up in life or her relationship. While the black and white printed midi-skirt, which I am obsessed over, gives you the sweet and gentle touch that, at the time, represented women in the 1950s and also me! I add my Aldo heels, which you all seen many times before, and a mix of gold and silver jewelry to top it off!

To achieve the sense of peace in your life and heart you have to remember one thing ...

Why do we go to war... for peace?

Think about it :)

Have a great weekend!

Geometric Methods

Hello 2015 !

2014 ... has been a year of reflection, anxiety, truths, not pushing myself hard enough, deceitful tongues, growth, fear, faith, doubt, hate, hope, not understanding why, fight, love, glass walls, seeing what you ask for, a broken heart, promises, consequences, finding myself, knowing I can not do it by myself, I will not do it by myself, questioning who I am, happiness, traveling, mess ups, and a year of knowing that everything takes time...but lastly a year of tears knowing that I have to go through life challenges, grow up, and have the faith in my heart to know that everything is going to be A-O-K!
This is the year of 2014.

Prints, prints, and more prints! Let's just say when I saw these pants at Old Navy I had to have them. It's just something about a statement piece that adds volume, confidence, and style to any wardrobe. I got these bad boys on Black Friday and I was lucky to snag them. If you ever want to know one thing about me, it's that I do not like Black Friday. Crowds, long lines, close proximity, never finding your size and rude people gives me anxiety and makes me nervous. Now back to the schedule programming. For me, I love finding new ways to use old items in my closet with new pieces and that it exactly what I did with this blouse I got 2 years ago. Since it is in the colder months, I threw on my favorite coat and scarf and jumped into some of the most comfy heels for height and style!

As usual people make resolutions for a new year whether it's losing weight, reading more, making new friends, losing friends, getting a dream job or internship, finishing college, or even being financially stable. Well for me, my goal is to continue to be happy, through the past year everything and everyone has made me a stronger person, increase my faith in Him, and lastly grind even more than last year, yesterday, and today.

I want to hear from you. What are your new year resolutions/goals for 2015?

Traveling Back in Time

Outfit Details

Blazer: Charlotte Russe (got it over 2 years ago) // White tank: H&M // Skirt: Forever 21 // Clutch: Aldo // Watch: Fossil // Shoes: Keds

Have you ever had that one picture, photo-shoot, or outfit that you loved but never made the cut because you just did not feel comfortable about, or realized that you need to have a HUGE wardrobe update? Well that was exactly how I felt about the little number here. This photo-shoot was done very early in my blogging career, and clearly I did not know what I was doing.Trying to find good locations, different picture angles, and most importantly the outfit itself, takes a lot of hard work and time to create an capturing and  entertaining posted ! Whew, its not always sunshine and rainbows but over time I found my own path and rhythm and it feels amazing to see myself grow as a blogger.

As I grow as a blogger I have realized that an "thrown together" outfit fashions some of the best outfits. You have seen this fabulous black peplum skirt many times on the blog and this is definitely my go to item in my wardrobe. From heels to sneakers this skirt is a versatile piece that can be consisted a staple in my closet. I paired a basic white tank with a teal 3/4 sleeve blazer from Charlotte Russe to give a more sophisticated look, but I wanted to be comfortable and I knew that I was going to run a lot of errands that day so threw on this comfy Keds and fab clutch from my favorite store, Aldo, to top off the look !

What are your favorite go to items in your closet?

Have a great start to a amazing week!

As I sat front row at this prestigious fashion show, I was memorized by the motion picture runway. With such a soothing present and iridescent music my excitement steady build as I guess what was to be expected from this collection. While I was sitting there taking in my surroundings I noticed that there were many elite professionals within the industry and even a celebrity, Miss China 2014!
