Midnight Breeze

Happy Tuesday ! School is definitely in full swing. In my absence from my blog I have busy with school work, obtaining a new retail job and attending multiple networking events. Today post it about beauty lighting and the night.

I recently found a new appreciation for the beauty of night. As a child I had a fear of being in the dark. I  always thought something was out there to get me and take me away. Now as a adult I come to realize that everything that I thought was scary and abstract is not all bad. One being the night and it's mysterious darkness. I shot this photo-shoot when the sun was setting and. My location, on MC beautiful campus, I found a great spot where the walk way had column lighting and a quaint water foundation. With lost of natural light I decided to use the lighting features on the walk way to shot my photos. They came out AMAZING! Ah you have to love the art of capturing candid shots and working with what you have. You never know how things will turn out!

In this outfit post, I focus a lot on the navy maxi skirt, hence the "mysterious darkness". Maxi shirts are very versatile and are a must have staple item every lady needs in her wardrobe. From a white t-shirt tucked in with sandals and minimal jewelry to a burnt orange blouse with a cognac skinny belt to define your waist and cognac heels or boots; you have put together an effortless but chic outfit that can be transform from day to night.Another feature I love about this skirt how light and airy it is. It is great for layering with  pattern tights or a faux leather jacket and a great knit scarf. I plan on purchasing more maxi skirts for the fall/winter so I can step out of my comfort-zone with pattern tights !! This should be interesting.

I hope you enjoyed this posted as much as I have. Look forward to tomorrow posted where I will discuss my experience meeting Lauren Conrad's assistant Amanda Schardt who is a Meredith College Alumni !

Have a great day !

xoxo
